For the outsiders

It’s not your mother’s church, but she’s welcome too.

Pastor Al Perratt, Mentor & Hero

The Problem Church is a church for problem children, addicts, felons, and outsiders. We hold to Biblical Christianity; and we summarize it in these three pillars. #1. We are blinder than we know. #2. Repentance is a verb. #3 There is no They. Learn more about our ministry and we invite you, wherever you are, whoever you are, in whatever spiritual state you are… to come to Jesus. We are just a community of believers. We love. We learn. We lead.

Most churches in the US think that the most important thing is for you to think correctly about everything. The sermon (lecture) is the centerpiece of their gathering; and their churchgoers thrive on “ah hah” moments and opinions about right and wrong. It seems to us that God is more concerned with how we treat others, especially our enemies. Many of us have grown up (don’t laugh, we are grown ups) in a culture where “learning theology” was centered around lectures, readings, and discussions. We’re not afraid of those things, but we’re not constrained to them either. We believe that the knowledge of God transcends mere thought and our goal is to live Romans 11:36 “From him and through Him and to Him are all things.” Not just the Sunday things, the sacred things, the simple things. All things. Especially how we treat the outcast, downtrodden and our enemies.

The Problem Church is an active people with an active liturgy. If you don’t know what that means, it means you’re more likely to see a hamburger than hear a lecture.
